The 2021 COVID-19 Phase2 - Aid India Fund is comprised of pre-vetted nonprofits based in the United States and India providing emergency response in India. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. Our fund is crafted in consultation with Intuitive's India team and our local PAN Asian Intuitive Community ERG with a focus on the desperate shortage of oxygen as well as support for acutely vulnerable populations and providing supplies for medical personnel. Given the ever-changing nature of this pandemic, and it's widespread impact, the composition of the nonprofits in this Fund will evolve as the needs change.

Next 2 months are especially going to be bad stretching the already fragile infrastructure. Next 2 months, 500,000 Indian deaths are projected. As of April 24, 2021 - India has registered close to 350,000 daily detections and nearly 2800 daily deaths. AID has a presence in more than 20 states of India, 35+ US chapters, and thousands of volunteers who continuously volunteer and provide support. Your support will help provide relief across India. The support will reach from the Rann of Kutch to the Gangetic planes and from the Himalayas to the coastal Andhra. Even to North East India. We are collaborating with National Rural Health Mission, Maharashtra, to help them procure Oxygen Generation Plants and Concentrators. This time, the COVID 19 virus has spread to remote locations in India, and apart from hunger-related issues, we have the additional health care calamity. There is a shortage of Oxygen generation plants and Oxygen Concentrators. So on top of our efforts to procure these facilities, it is essential to protect the most vulnerable population in India. Our immediate task is to ensure: 1) Healthcare helplines across India 2) Reduce misinformation and awareness campaigns across India, especially the importance of Vaccination 3) Ration Kit for the Needy 4) PPE Kit distribution to the front line health care workers and supporters 5) Support to another anticipated wave of migrant workers across India 6) Fair access to Oxygen supplies and medication 7) Oxygen concentrators procurement and purchase to the most vulnerable locations 8) Small Oxygen generation plants at public hospitals 9) Plasma donation appeal and drive 10) Long-term livelihood projects to support income generation for vulnerable populations 11) Advocacy with the village level Panchayats, Corporations, and local government. A volcano in the southern Caribbean erupted early Friday April 9, 2021, spewing a two-mile-high cloud of ash into the sky one day after thousands were ordered to evacuate the area. The long-dormant volcano, known as La Soufrière, on the main island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, moved into an "explosive state" Friday morning, sending plumes up to "eight kilometers," the National Emergency Management Organization shared on Twitter. This fund is created to support the recovery effort in SVG via registered Charites.

On March 24th, 2021, a terrible fire broke out at one of the densely populated slum communities in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Susan's Bay. The entire community was burnt down to ashes and it is believed that more than 5,000 people were left homeless as over 600 houses were destroyed. Many children are believed to be missing and separated from their parents while thousands have lost their livelihoods as most of the residents in the affected community were involved in petty trading. Advocacy Initiative for Development (AID) Sierra Leone will be providing food, water, medicine, clothing, school supplies, and accommodation in helping the victims especially women and children rise from the ashes. Also, the organization will be providing psychosocial counseling support to affected women and children to enable them recover from the trauma and also keep their hopes alive.

In addition Winter Storm Uri left many without power and reliable sources of food or water. The storm also caused an estimated 200B+ in property damage than many of us personally experienced. More than five months since the 4th of August Beirut Port blast, and the work on the ground continues by many NGOs to support those who have been impacted. Ahla Fawda is one of those NGOs that has been very active on the ground in terms of fixing damaged houses, providing temporary housing, providing food, medicines, clothing, and even furniture items for those in need. With the challenging economical situation in Lebanon, internal donors have became scarce, and so like many NGOs, Ahla Fawda continues to rely on the generosity and support of external donors to continue its mission. A powerful 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Croatia on Tuesday, December 29th. At least six people were killed, dozens were wounded and several towns in central Croatia were left in ruins. The full extent of casualties was not known and as daylight faded, emergency crews, assisted by the military, searched the wreckage for survivors. The epicenter of the quake was near the towns of Petrinja and Sisak, which is home to the region’s largest hospital, rendered largely unusable because of damage. Although people injured in the quake were still being taken to the facility to be triaged, including two in critical condition, the government said it would evacuate the patients there. That effort would also include moving 40 coronavirus patients to other facilities. Many hospitals were forced to evacuate patients and move them to safer locations with the help of the army personnel amid freezing temperatures.
